About the Role:
Join NORTH GEORGIA ANGEL HOUSE INC as a Direct Care Worker for Teenage Girls, where you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of young women in our care. This rewarding position allows you to provide support, guidance, and encouragement to help them thrive in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and supervision for teenage girls in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Implement individualized treatment plans and monitor progress.
- Facilitate group activities and therapeutic interventions to promote social skills.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment to ensure the well-being of all residents.
- Communicate effectively with team members, families, and external professionals.
- Document daily activities and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Degree Preferred in the Human Services field
- Two years of experience working with adolescents, particularly in a care or educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to handle crisis situations with professionalism and care.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and empowering environment for residents.

Our dedicated staff is passionate about creating a supportive and nurturing atmosphere, which is why both our residents and employees feel valued and empowered in their roles.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
The North Georgia Angel House sits between the mountains and the city of Cherokee County. We’ve been serving Georgia’s youth since 2006 providing shelter, life skills, educational assistance, and clinical services to give our youth the best shot at a successful future.
